Lauren Pitchforth

Trainee Costs Draftsperson

Lauren graduated with an LLB Law Degree from the University of Lincoln in 2025 and is now taking the first steps in her legal career. She has a keen interest in all areas of law and values the way her studies have broadened her perspective on the world around her.

Lauren lives in the East Coast village of Aldbrough, where she enjoys long walks with Jax, her four-year-old Cockerpoo. She is passionate about cooking and baking, a hobby inspired by her grandma, and loves to relax by baking cakes, cheesecakes and sausage rolls.

During her university years, Lauren gained customer service skills in the hospitality sector and was also the drummer in a covers band – although she has put the drumsticks to one side to focus on her law career.

What music do you like?

I’m a massive fan of country music and am always listening to Luke Coombs or Zach Bryan. I’d love to visit Nashville one day!

What’s your favourite food?

It would probably be salt and pepper chicken, pork-fried rice and curry sauce from the Chinese takeaway.

What film or boxset would you recommend to others?

Footloose with Kevin Bacon is a timeless classic and I enjoy it every time I watch it. I also love The Conjuring series – and any horror movie where I believe it could actually happen.

Do you have a favourite book and why?

Anything by Freida McFadden, an American psychological thriller writer who loves a plot twist, but my favourite is probably The Tenant.

What smartphone App could you not live without?

Spotify – I love listening to music and don’t like silence, especially when I’m cooking.

Do you have a favourite podcast?

Ghost Huns, which is hosted by comedians Hannah Byczkowski and Suzie Preece, who share creepy ghost stories in a funny way.

How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

Organised, outgoing, friendly, caring and hard working.

If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?

Relax, chill out and don’t stress. What’s meant to be is meant to be.
