Lara Sharp
Trainee Solicitor
Always positive and outgoing, Lara is the first member of our team to be rewarded with a Trainee Solicitor contract after displaying excellent knowledge and work ethic since joining us in August 2023.
Originally from Manchester, Lara successfully graduated with a Masters Law Degree from Northumbria University in 2022. Before joining us, she gained valuable experience handling car accident claims for a law firm in Newcastle.
What are your main interests or hobbies?
I love socialising with my friends and can often be found going for a run around the Quayside in Newcastle, or walks with my flat-mates or boyfriend. I like planning nice holidays and my favourite place to visit is Ibiza. I also enjoyed Puerto de La Cruz in Tenerife, a traditional Canarian town with authentic pavement bars and buildings.
What’s your favourite food?
I really like seafood, especially salmon, but if I had to choose a favourite meal I’d probably go for Sushi because I love Japanese & Asian food. Sushi Me Rollin' in Newcastle is one of my favourites.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
I do love listening to a bit of Techno and I am going to Primavera in Barcelona this year, having previously been to LeedsFest and Creamfields.
Do you have a favourite book and why?
I like to read coaching and motivational books, but my favourite book would have to be Drawing The Line: Science And The Case For Animal Rights by Stephen Wise. It’s a scientific look at animals and why their abilities should entitle them to legal rights, written by a Harvard Professor.
What film or boxset would you recommend to others?
When I’m chilling on a Sunday, my number one comfort show has to be Modern Family. I love it! I also like chick-flicks or movies that are easy to watch.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Confident, outgoing, hard-working, loyal and kind.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Stop worrying. Don’t stress. Everything usually works out in the end.
