Hayley Jackson
Costs Draftsperson
With over a decade of experience in the world of costs law, Hayley has vast knowledge of dealing with several different areas of law – from clinical negligence and personal injury to private and commercial clients.
She has worked on several multi-million-pound clinical negligence cases and handled costs budgets which have reached significant six-figure sums. Before joining us, Hayley was an independent in-house Costs Draftsperson for a firm of solicitors in York.
What are your main hobbies and interests?
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and one-year-old son – and taking our dog Hugo for long family walks.
I enjoy yoga, but our current main project is renovating our Georgian house which is a labour of love.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
All sorts – from rap to classical and anything in between. It usually depends on my mood!
What’s your favourite food?
Pasta (of any kind).
Do you have a favourite book and why?
This is Going to Hurt, Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor by Adam Kay. It’s hilarious but also horrifying and heart breaking.
What are your pet hates?
People that are rude.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Friendly, kind, conscientious, sensitive and tall.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Have more self-confidence, don’t doubt myself as much and take more risks.
