Trainee Costs Draftsperson

Originally from Middlesbrough, Hannah is taking her first steps into the legal industry after successfully graduating with a Law Degree from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2025. She enjoys the detail and complexity involved in court documents and is particularly interested in the wider impact of costs within legal proceedings.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys relaxing with a good horror novel and going to the cinema with her partner. She also loves hiking in the Peak District and walking along Manchester’s canals.

What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?  

I like a bit of everything, but I’m a major fan of ‘new wave’ bands like Joy Division, Depeche Mode and New Order. I got into it as a teenager and have liked it ever since.

What’s your favourite food?  

I'm a vegan who loves spicy food - the hotter, the better! I really enjoy Indian food and if I was in a restaurant I would order a madras tofu or vegetable curry.

Do you have a favourite book and why?  

I'm a huge fan of the classics or anything by H.G, Wells but Stephen King is my favourite author and I like to get engrossed in a crime thriller.

What TV show, film or boxset would you recommend to others?  

My favourite film is Army of Darkness or Evil Dead – I’m into cheesy cabin in the woods-style thrillers. Tv wise, I like Fallout or Severance.

Do you have a favourite holiday destination or place you’d love to visit? 

My favourite holiday destination is Rhodes because the food and the history there is amazing.  I've always wanted to go to Florence too - it looks so beautiful and I’m planning to go in the future.

What smartphone App could you not live without? 

Sudoku is my new favourite because I'm trying to lessen the amount of time I spend on TikTok with something more useful!
