A graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, who achieved a First-Class Bachelor’s degree in English and Philosophy in 2023, Connor is now putting those skills to great use by building a career in law.
Before moving into the legal world, he spent time travelling around New Zealand and previously worked as a trainer for AI models, teaching them how to be more truthful and ethical.
Originally from Derbyshire, Connor now calls the heart of Manchester city centre home, where he enjoys the city’s combination of culture and creativity. A rugby union player and boxer in his youth, Connor now prefers to relax with a good book in his hand. He also enjoys writing, street photography and live music.

I really love going to This & That, one of Manchester's best-known Indian Curry Houses, where you order rice and three curry dishes and compile your own meal exactly how you like it.
What film or boxset would you recommend to others?
My all-time favourite film is Paris, Texas, which follows a drifter called Travis who reappears four years after going missing and tries to reconnect with his young son and wife.
Do you have a favourite book and why?
The Stranger by Albert Camus, a philosophical work of fiction that follows Meursault, a French Algerian who kills a man without any motive and his indifference to life, death and social norms.
What smartphone App could you not live without?
Spotify – it’s just a great way to listen to all your favourite music.
Do you have a favourite holiday destination?
Sienna in Tuscany, Italy is an amazing place with great food and people. It’s a mediaeval town surrounded by beautiful countryside and every year they have a horse race between all the local families, who wear their colours and flags and compete against each other as they would have hundreds of years ago.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Friendly, methodical, adaptable, philosophical and a deep thinker.
