Amy Singleton

Costs Draftsperson

After gaining a BA Hons in Politics & Legislative Studies, Amy went on to complete her Masters in Criminal Justice & Crime Control before proudly following in her Mum’s footsteps by training to become a Costs Lawyer.

During her time as a student at the University of Hull, Amy worked as a bar manager which has given her some great customer-facing skills – and she can also make a mean Mojito cocktail… even if she does say so herself!

What are your main interests or hobbies?

I always rode horses when I was growing up and I pay to ride one regularly out of a stable in Dunswell, on the outskirts of Beverley. As I’m originally from St Helens, rugby league is in my blood so I like to watch as many of their nearby matches as possible. I can often also be at Hull KR games as my boyfriend is a massive Robins fan.

Which smartphone App do you like the most and why?

I do love TikTok because it really does have something for everyone. It’s sometimes a bit random but I like the short videos as they’re either informative, entertaining or funny.

What’s your favourite food?

Pasta or anything Italian. I love freshly-made Ravioli and don’t mind spicy foods.

What film or boxset would you recommend to others?

My favourite programmes are Criminal Minds and New Girl, but I have been known to watch hour after hour of trashy daytime TV!

Do you have a favourite book and why?

I read quite a lot of non-fiction books and have recently been reading about Russian History, the Czars and the Russian Revolution.

How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

Friendly, focused, attentive to detail, inquisitive and organised.
