What are your main interests or hobbies?

When I get time, I like to draw and specialise in realism and portraits,
especially older people as they have great facial expressions and features. I think this comes from my Dad, who was always designing tattoos and drawing cartoons when I was younger. I’m also slowly learning to speak Mandarin so that I can try to have a conversation with my boyfriend’s grandad, who can’t speak English.

What’s your favourite food?

It’s not very well known but I do love a Korean BBQ, where you grill a meat of your choice over a flame at the table and then load it with toppings. Unfortunately, we don’t have one in our area so I have to go to Leeds for a treat.

What film or boxset would you recommend to others?

I’m a big fan of Horror movies and love anything that is gory – the gorier the better! I’m a massive fan of the fantasy genre too and would recommend Game of Thrones to anyone.

What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?

I don’t mind listening to most pop music but I especially like Eminem and rap music, or a hip-hop artists called bbno$ (Baby No Money).

What would be your ideal holiday?

My dream holiday destination would be a skiing trip to Austria. After going as a student, I have fallen in love with the slopes and especially enjoyed stopping at all the little huts, bars and hot baths on the way down.

Do you have a favourite book and why?

I’d like to read more than I do, but I do enjoy picking up a good thriller or murder mystery. Stephen King is one of my favourite authors.

Which smartphone App do you like the most and why?

If I am at home on my iPad, I like to relax by doing a jigsaw but I am also a big Candy Crush addict whenever I am out and about or waiting for someone.

If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?

Try to have a bit of balance between studying, exercising and socialising – and treat each one with equal importance so you can have good physical and mental health.

Personable and an excellent communicator, Alicia successfully graduated from the University of Hull with a Law Degree LLB in July 2023.

She loves swimming and going to the gym and is currently learning Mandarin with help from Harry, her Chinese partner.
