He’s also highly active and tries to run 10k every day as well as working out regularly. In his spare time, Adam is learning to play guitar and chess, and enjoys reading, writing and going to the cinema.

What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?

I absolutely love Taylor Swift and loved going to see perform at Wembley, which was amazing. I'm also a major fan of Fall-Out Boy and Hollywood Undead.

What’s your favourite food?

Spaghetti Bolognese is my all-time favourite dish. I'm a fairly handy cook so I rustle up a pretty mean one myself too.

What film or boxset would you recommend to others?

My favourite shows are The US Office and Parks and Recreation - they’re a bit like a comfort blanket because I've seen them hundreds of times - and I know no-one is going to die at the end.

Do you have a favourite book and why?

I’m really into the science fiction genre and Brandon Sanderson, the best-selling American author who is known for his fantasy works, and I’d recommend The Way of Kings.

Which smartphone App could you not live without?

Google Maps - or I'd be forever getting lost!

Do you have a favourite podcast?

I definitely enjoy listening to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X – even though I don’t listen to anything else on there. Science Vs is also a really interesting listen!

How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

Helpful, reliable, efficient, reasonable and knowledgeable.

If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?

Even if it feels like you are trying, you could probably try harder and achieve more.
