Stephen Johnson - Costs Draftsman
Having gained a BSc Hons Degree in Sports Coaching Development and Fitness, Stephen joined a law firm which specialised in Personal Injury Claims before bringing this first-hand legal experience to Carter Burnett.
Whilst studying, he held part-time coaching positions in the paid and voluntary sector, where he worked with people from all different backgrounds and communities to increase their involvement in sport.

I believe honesty and communication is the key to providing a good service. I also think that building up a good rapport is important when trying to establish a successful working relationship.
What's the best thing about working at Carter Burnett?
Everyone is friendly, and we always adopt a professional and understanding approach, which makes it a nice place to be. We’re also still learning new things every day, which makes life interesting.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I live with my partner (and 2 rabbits) and we enjoy spending time socialising or taking part in ‘adventure’ activities or days out. I also play semi-professional rugby for Hull RUFC.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Loyal, dedicated, ambitious, friendly, fun.
Which smartphone App could you not live without?
I’m a big fan of Whatsapp, Instagram and Twitter.
What are your pet hates?
People who put food and drink in their mouth at the same time.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Listen more in school, it’s actually quite interesting, and spend as much time with your family as possible.
