What specialist skills or services do you offer clients?
The areas of costs that I deal with ranges from high value clinical negligence, catastrophic personal injury (RTA, Public Liability, Employers Liability and Occupiers Liability), industrial disease (I have a particular interest in Mesothelioma), commercial law, housing disputes and solicitor’s own client disputes.
My caseload portfolio has classically incorporated catastrophic clinical negligence claims such as birth care, cerebral palsy and brain injury claims, paraplegia, quadriplegia, and tetraplegia claims as well as fatality claims all involving particularly complex issues as to breach of duty, causation, and quantum.
What drives you to achieve great results for clients?
I always take a robust, but personable approach to instructions and always understand the client’s needs in every complex area of litigation.
I am happy to take instructions from both the receiving and paying party with a particular interest in advocacy at both Cost and Case Management Conferences, application hearings and Detailed Assessments. I have appeared in the High Court, County Court and Supreme Court Costs Office. Since the introduction of cost management, there are not too many Courts that I have not had the pleasure of attending - both in person and virtually.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Outside of work, my biggest passion is skiing and I have usually used up all my annual holiday entitlement by April! I also take a keen interest in Cricket although I’ve recently been forced to stop playing because of an injury (caused by skiing!). As a keen walker, I can often be found hiking the hills of Snowdon and the Lake District with my dog.
