Laura Carter - Director
Laura joined Carter Burnett in January 2019 after previously gaining five years’ experience within the busy Human Resources Department at the University of Hull.
Before this, Laura spent nine years working for a charity which helped vulnerable people engage in education and rehabilitation programmes, whilst encouraging them to improve their morale and mental well-being.
Laura's kind nature is one of her biggest assets and this skill, combined with her understanding of Human Resource matters, has ensured she's been a positive addition to the team at Carter Burnett.
What specialist skills or services do you have?
In my previous charitable role, I worked as part of a team which helped to rehabilitate and resettle vulnerable people with complex social needs so that they could integrate into the wider community. As a result, I consider myself to be a very strong communicator who can easily issue advice, information and guidance.
What's the best thing about working at Carter Burnett?
We have a great team, a lovely office atmosphere and everyone is really helpful, which means we enjoy spending time together.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I live with my two sons, Edward and George, and my husband Lee who all like to keep me busy with their footballing antics. In the rare moments when I’m not being a Mum, I enjoy being part of a local running club – and I also love to shop. Visiting new places on holiday is another of my favourite hobbies.
