Karolina Kot - Costs Lawyer
A confident and outgoing Costs Lawyer, Karolina joined us in 2023 after spending almost three years working in Costs for a solicitor in Newcastle. Prior to that, she gained invaluable legal experience working as a Public Fraud Adviser for the Metropolitan Police, having successfully graduated from Northumbria University with a Masters in Law and an LPC qualification.
What are your main interests or hobbies?
I do like going to the gym and keeping active, but I probably spend most of my weekends shopping, or going for food and drinks with my friends and my fiancé.
What’s your favourite food?
I absolutely love authentic Thai food and Zaap is one of my favourite restaurants in Newcastle. If I had to choose one dish, I’d probably go for the chicken dumplings – they’re lovely.
What film or boxset would you recommend to others?
I’m not much of a movie person but I do love a good box set and would definitely recommend The US Office because I love the character Michael, who is played by Steve Carrel. Modern Family or It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are also well worth a watch.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
I grew up watching Hannah Montanna so I’m really into anything from Miley Cyrus, and I absolutely love Coldplay – I have seen them live three times.
What would be your ideal holiday?
My number one holiday destination would have to be Turkey because the people are so nice, and the weather and food are amazing. I’m planning a trip to Bali for 2024 and I can’t wait.
What are your pet hates?
Slow walkers and people with no sense of urgency.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Reliable, hardworking, organised, motivated and ambitious.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Be patient and authentic. Don’t stress too much. And enjoy the journey.
