Allison Ward - Senior Costs Draftsperson
Allison has more than 20 years’ experience in costs, having prepared Bills, schedules and costs budgets for every conceivable type of civil matter (both publicly and privately funded) as well as Court of Protection matters.
She previously worked for Irwin Mitchell in a senior drafting position, specialising in high-value and complex PI and Clinical Negligence, but also boasts experience of conducting paid party work for Kennedys LLP.
Since joining Carter Burnett in 2021, she has returned to her Cumbrian roots to live with her Mum and enjoy being closer to her family.

What drives you to achieve great results for clients?
I love to create the best piece of work I can because this can have a substantial impact. I get a genuine sense of achievement and pleasure at obtaining a great recovery.
What are your main interests or hobbies?
Reading, horse-riding, salsa dancing and computing – and Star Trek!
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Trekkie, Warm, insightful, hard-working and fair.
What’s your favourite food?
A fruit scone with plenty of butter, clotted cream and jam. Failing that, a good Chinese.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Try everything once, you’ve really nothing to lose.
