Carter Burnett is thrilled to be creating three new full-time jobs by opening an office in Newcastle. 
 
Two of our experienced Costs Specialists – Seamus Kelly and Sean Linley – are already based in the North East and will lead operations in Newcastle. 
 
Founder Jon-Paul Burnett said: “We’re honoured to represent a variety of high-calibre claimant law firms from throughout the UK, but we love working with the clients we have in Newcastle and are delighted to reaffirm our commitment to the area. 
 
“We already have two vastly-experienced Costs Specialists based in Newcastle so this North East expansion is a logical next step to further enhance our growing reputation.” 
 
Whilst property negotiations are still ongoing, the Newcastle office is on schedule to open in summer and applications are already being invited for the positions. 
 
Director Lee Carter said: “We’re planning to appoint three new full-time staff before the Newcastle office opens to expand our team up there to five and cement our place as one of the leading names in the law costs industry. 
 
“The ability to work remotely has meant we are busier than ever because claimant law firms can now appoint a Costs Lawyer from anywhere in the country to attend hearings. It also means we can make these key appointments so that our people are in place ready for the opening of our new office. 
 
“We’re planning to take on two experienced costs lawyers and a degree-qualified trainee. It’s exciting times, we can’t wait to start interviewing applicants and we’re confident it will pave the way for further job opportunities in the future.”
