Applications invited as third intake of trainee Costs Lawyers gets underway

CARTER Burnett is delighted to be hunting for our latest batch of trainee Costs Lawyers – our third annual recruitment intake for this highly-successful scheme.
As we continue to experience an increasing busy workload and fresh enquiries from a wide range of clients, we are again looking to expand and attract new team members.
Based in either our Beverley or Newcastle office, the three new recruits will become part of our proven development pathway.
Applicants need to be qualified to degree level and previous legal experience would be advantageous, although it is not essential for the role as full training will be given by our experienced Law Costs professionals.
The successful applicants, who must have a keen interest in pursuing a career in the legal industry, will be rewarded with an excellent rate of pay during the three-year training programme.
A rewarding initiative
Reflecting on why the scheme has been beneficial for everyone involved, Director Lee Carter said: “Since establishing our training initiative it has proved very rewarding and successful for the individuals taking part in it and our business.

“It’s also been a great learning and teaching experience for our senior Costs Lawyers, who play a vital role in mentoring the development of trainees.
“From an operational perspective, taking on trainee Costs Lawyers has allowed us to expand and grow so we can continue to deliver the high standards our clients rely upon.
“The first two people to join the scheme are on course to qualify as Costs Lawyers in September, with two more expected to follow in their footsteps next year and again in 2024.
“We're confident the latest intake will be just as successful and we’re looking forward to hearing from some excellent applicants.”
